Founded in 1886, Yonkers Paddling and Rowing Club (YPRC) is one of the oldest continuously operating paddling clubs in New York. YPRC encourages participation in paddle sports, provides education about the Hudson River and the importance of its protection for future generations, encourages safety skills in paddling sports and offers boat storage for rowing and paddling programs.

YPRC received a 2015 NEEF Public Lands Every Day Event Grant to support three free kayaking events on the Hudson River. The events will:

  • Will offer free kayaking on the Hudson River out of JFK Marina and Park, a City of Yonkers Public Park (June).
  • Events will occur on June 25, July 26 and Aug. 30.
